I went through a martial/industrial stage a couple of years ago - stuff like Von Thronstahl, Der Blutharsch, Dernière Volonté, Arditi and Laibach. A lot of it sounds stale now, but I still like elements, so I want to revisit the genre with a fresh perspective. Recommendations appreciated.

Hmm try Shava Sadhana (http://www.myspace.com/shavasadhana). Probably one of my favorite projects ever. If you like RhythmicIndustrial/Noise/Gabber listen to Rosewater from lativia. Then theres Suicide Commando if you like EBM. More coming soon...

Shava sadhana is awesome!

Hi guys,
I've been training for distance running for a while now and the music i listen to is more crucial to me than my electrolyte balance. :P
I mostly have industrial metal on my playlist and is mostly dominated by static-x coz of their pounding electronica samples and aggressive, staccato riffage. Really gets the blood pumping and I can latch on to that fundamental, heavy groove.
I'm growing weary of the same music though. Desperately need new stuff.
Recommendashunz plz. :D

p.s. - No odd-time signatures please. -__-

^That Peshmerga sounds awesome! Has enough style to tell it apart from Gorgasm.

Speaking of the 'gasm, the new song smokes. This will kill everything in living sight.

Yes it will! Can't wait for it.

Forgot to recommend
- Cenotaph - Putrescent Infectious Rabidity (http://www.myspace.com/cenotaph) How can a band go wrong when Lille Gruber is playing!!! First Defeated Sanity and then this, in the same year!

-Decimation. Highly inspired by Cenotaph but worth it. They have one song here http://www.myspace.com/comatosemusiclabel

Black Metal anyone? You might wanna check out this Australian band called Naetu. Just an album old, but good stuff.

Darkestrah - Epos was pretty good if you're into the whole 30+ minute thing.

Epos is their best release without a doubt. Though I till date have NEVER heard it in one sitting. I never have the time.

The Dead - Ritual Executions

Incredible release by Diabolical Conquest Records, India. Its a very enticing mixture of down tuned death metal heaviness with epic stoner grooves. Very bleak and absolutely rapturous!

Here is my review for the same on Atmostfear Netzine, Portugal -
