They're playing in Pune too, but I'll stick to the local gig:

Orphaned Land is an Israeli heavy metal band, formed in 1991, that combines progressive metal, Death/doom, Jewish and Arabic influences.

On January, 2010, Orphaned Land released the follow-up to Mabool, entitled The Never Ending Way of ORWarriOR. OrWarrior means "Warrior of Light," and the concept is the battle between light and darkness. The album has a different sound than Mabool, and was mixed by Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree.

Woah, that's incredible! But, then again, I wonder what kind of response will they get playing live.

Either ways, I love Orphaned Land. Hope this gig turns out good.

This is fuckin insane ! Orphaned Land is a very interesting and unique band and I've loved them since I first heard Ornaments Of Gold. I I have some reservations about how professionally this'll be handled but I'm gonna try and make it. Plus, I quite enjoyed Degradead's 2009 release "Out of Body Experience". I like the idea of the Meet & Greet too !!

I am. I suspect sodom hussein will, as well - to pimp his label's CDs, if nothing else.

Right.. Have you contacted those dudes about the tickets ? I'm considering travelling from Hyd to Bangy for this but need to know if the show is legit.

Well I know one guy who's helping organise the gig, so I'm banking on him to come through with my tickets/passes. I'll ask around and see if there's any other way to get tickets beforehand. The venue's at the same place that the Undergrind was held, and it ought to be a similar setup, so I don't really see any reason why it shouldn't be legit. Of course, after that Cynic 'gig', most people know you can't be too safe.

That's right Chax. I'm actually more concerned about the quality of the setup etc rather than it being a no-show.
And yeah, do let me know how tickets are being handed out. I'm leaning towards dropping out from attending this event (got the DT show in Hyd the following weekend as consolation) but might just change my mind at the last moment.
