East London beatsmith DJ Champion will make his Indian debut with 3 shows in India next month in August promoted by Mixtape. Champion known for his low end basslines and rhythmic patterns, came into limelight with his EP ‘Motherboard’ in 2011.
Regarded as a pioneer of UK Funky, Champion’s music has found place in the sets of Four Tet, Mark Ronson, Ben UFO, and Annie Mac. His versatile sets which expertly blend sounds across the spectrum of bass and beyond have seen him perform at high-profile festivals like Glastonbury, Outlook and Field Day. Formula Records which has had releases by renowned artists including Zed Bias, Flava D and Terror Danjah, is the brainchild of Champion.
