Friends of Music: Featuring The Yale Whiffenpoofs, and Adi & Suhail, on July 20

Yale University a cappella group, The Yale Whiffenpoofs, and alternative fusion duo Adi & Suhail are ready to perform for wnother edition of Friends of Music on July 20 at the Stein Auditorium in India Habitat Centre. 

Friends of music are hosting another evening of music at the Stein Auditorium in India Habitat Centre on July 20, showcasing musical performances by alternative fusion duo Adi & Suhail – who will open for – Yale University’s collegiate a cappella group, The Yale Whiffenpoofs.

On the one hand you will have virtuoso instrumentalists Aditya Balani and Suhail Yusuf, known for their simple yet powerful duet’s with the guitar and sarangi, playing some mystifying melodies; on the other, you have the oldest and most prestigious a cappella group that has witnessed over a century of music. The Yale Whiffenpoofs, first created as a quartet back in 1909, now comprises of fourteen senior Yale men considered to be one of the best a cappella groups in the world. Surely this musical evening will prove to be a splendid instance of interaction between rich music and culture.
