It is set; Vans off the Wall in association with ennui.BOMB are set to bring ‘Mad Party’, a free gig featuring Calcutta based rock n’ roll band The Supersonics, Delhi’s electronica duo FuzzCulture, indie rock/post punk band The Vinyl Records, post punk band Hoirong, and indie pop rock band Frisky Pints, set to play at the Summer House Café in Hauz Khas on June 13. If you haven’t noticed by now, this is a ‘the stars have aligned on this joyous occasion’ kind of line up for a gig that shall reek of punk till Delhi’s population is left with nothing but nosebleeds.
With acts like Hoirong – the seldom politically correct, brat child of Kamal Singh – thrashing out some old school riffing, or the all girl four member post punk group The Vinyl Records clipping out some terrifying keytaring, or the all out crazy mind blazing electronica of FuzzCulture, there is little doubt that this is going to be one loud gig. The entry to the gig is free for all who can pick up passes, whose location is yet to be revealed. So stay on your mark, this is one gig you don’t want to be late for.
