Metropolis 2015 To Be Held In Guwhati From January 9 to 11

The third edition of the Metropolis Urbaan Winter Festival is set to be held at Shraddhanjali Kannan, Guwhati, from January 9 to 11, 2015. Th three-day festival will bring together thousands of artists and festival-goers to experience a universe of socio-cultural events and performances.

With the eventful success of the Urban Winter Festival in 2013 and 2014, Metropolis, is back for it’s third edition to be held from January 9 to 11, 2015, in Guwhati; with thousands of artists and festival-goers from across the world to experience an amazing collection of events, workshops, stalls, and more. The three-day festival will play host to a variety of events pertaining to art, music, literature, film making, dance, theatre, and much more, bringing together thousands of people to enjoy the multitude of events and celebrate one of the biggest socio-cultural festivals in the north-eastern region.

The festival will feature a host of interesting events including gaming, a bullet/bike rider’s rally, cartooning, food stalls, crafts, and more; and, performances by artists like singer Lama Tashi, Delhi-based The Vinyl Records, Karbi folk rock act Warklung, Shillong-based rock band Dosser’s Urge, along with many other artists; assuring this year’s edition of the Metropolis Urban Winter Festival to be one of the largest festivals in the country.
