New Age Metalcore Outfit Intoxicate Release New Single, 'Messiah'.

May 24, 03:21pm

Calcutta based metalcore band Intoxicate have released their latest single, 'Messiah', from their upcoming debut full length album, Memories, on SoundCloud.

Calcutta based new age metalcore band Intoxicate have released their latest single on SoundCloud, 'Messiah', off of their upcoming debut full length album, Memories. The new wave of Indian metal core that is Intoxicate, have derived varied influences, including bands like As I Lay Dying and August Burns Red, from among its members to create heavy grooves that still quench the members' thirst for melodies. The band is currently working on the upcoming album hoping to release it sometime next year, vocalist Somagni Biswas says, "We recorded the single with Suvam Moitra of Chronic Xorn, it was a great experience. Since when we first started our band, he has recorded all of our songs; he's like our mentor and brother."

Intoxicate released their debut EP, Dawn of Apathy, back in February 2013 via Pune based record label, Chaos Records, after first coming together in September 2010 and exploring the deviant sounds of heavy metal and melodic music mutating with each other. In its four year existence the band has claimed titles across college competitions and crowds through the country, with an appetite that's only getting larger. "At the moment we have to release our album by next year and make it a bigger one than the EP," says Somagni, "When we finish recording and releasing, we will keep putting out studio updates and then release a music video."
