The Erik Truffaz Quartet is all set to descend upon these shores, performing in Mumbai on November 28. The quartet will be playing at the glorious 100-year-old Edward Theatre, Kalbadevi Road, and the concert is being organized by Edward Theatre, Pro Helvetia – Swiss Arts Council, and Gatecrash.
Erik Truffaz, who fronts the quartet, is an innovative Swiss-born French jazz trumpeter who is known for incorporating hip-hop, rock ‘n’ roll, and even dance music in his music, creating a tasteful blend and a very unique and thoughtful sound. Truffaz has consistently been writing music since the early/mid-nineties, and he has previously performed in the country at the Jazz Utsav 2010. He embarks on a tour of India which commences with this gig, following which he travels to Pune (Blue Frog Amphitheatre, Nov 29), Bangalore (CounterCulture, Nov 30), and Goa (International Live Jazz Festival, Dec 1).

They will be joined on stage by various special guests as well.
