Camping in the hills, waltzing through Mussoorie during the day, great music in the evening as the chilly winter breeze hits you, calling it a day and retiring to a cozy tent – it’s the dream, isn’t it? The Celeste Music Festival 2013 is exactly that. The two-day multi-genre festival will take place on October 25 and 26 at the George Everest House, a little distance away from the main city of Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, and it features over 15 artists and bands spanning multiple sounds and genres – from prog-rock to jazz to electronica to fusion and so forth.
Camping, medical, parking, and security facilities will be provided at Celeste Fest; in addition, there will also be a general store stocking basic amenities at the camp site. Shuttle and taxi services from the main city to the festival site have also been provided. The festival features an action packed line-up – the likes of Raagleela, Barefaced Liar, Fuzz Culture, Soul’d Out, The Circus, The Uncertainty Principle, and many more, will all take the stage, serving for a very powerful blend of music to accentuate and accompany the beautiful location that’s hosting the Celeste Fest. In fact, visitors are even welcome to bring their own music instruments for a late night acoustic jam or two. There are multiple options for accommodation, with one- and two-day passes available. And really, the cherry on top is that there is absolutely no network coverage at the George Everest House. So that’s two days of no mobile, landlines, or internet – just the company of music, friends, and the hills and the stars.
