Kolkata based guitar virtuoso Bodhisattwa Ghosh released his new single “RUSH” featuring some of the best musicians from the city. The rock instrumental has a cool, mostly-black-and-white music video compiled and edited by Shan Bhattacharya with footage of the musicians in their respective lockdown environments, clubbed with fast moving images from various Japanese sci-fi movies and videos.
"RUSH" has a familiar but slamming rock sound and lends itself as a treat with very tasteful performances by the collaborators. Ghosh has a knack of playing from the hip when it comes to expressing on the guitar and this track doesn’t fail to retain that quality. Accompanied by drummer Sambit Chatterjee, bassist Mainak "Bumpy" Nag Chowdhury and John Paul on guitars, this is Ghosh’s second solo single this year during the lockdown period.
