Music producers Ritaban Das & Diptendu Das a.k.a. Simpler’s Project from Kolkata describe their music as folktronica, experimental, electronic and ambient. When the two musicians heard Nashville’s Ross David on Soundcloud, mesmerized by the American singer-songwriter’s skills decided to reach out through Facebook, proposing a plan to collaborate on a song. “We connected online and sent him our song with ideas of production & arrangement”, says Diptendu. David heard the music, expressed his excitement agreeing to collaborate with the duo and recorded his vocals in Nashville.
Simpler’s Project recorded and arranged rest of the parts in Kolkata. Their plan with a musician they discovered online resulted in a unique collaboration producing a song that is going to be part of their upcoming album, “Into the Woods”.
“Through the sky" feat. Ross David sounds hip and retains its quality as an ambient pop track demonstrating their respective skills as songwriters. David's influence of RnB and delightful vocal presence feels like a correct blend with Simpler's Project-s expansive vibe through layers of ambient electronica.

Ross David admits, "I was semi- raised by John Mayer but I've been really influenced by Musiq Soulchild, Bruno Mars, John Legend and Ed Sheeran ".
We are so happy to have collaborated with Ross David. It is awesome that the internet provides so many possibilities for musicians these days.
The result is this special song becoming a part of our upcoming album!
