The annucal cutural festival of IIM Bangalore, Unmaad, is set to be launched today at the campus, with the festival to be held from January 30 to February 1. The launch for the nineteenth edition of the festival will feature performance by prominent artists from Indian music scene.

The 19th edition of IIM Bangalore’s annual cultural festival, Unmaad, is set to be held from January 30 to February 1, 2015; with the official launch of the festival taking place today on campus, with performances by Coke Studio artists like Sona Mohapatra, Ram Sampath, and Hari and Sukhmani. The three day festival at the IIMB campus buzzes with more than 600 participants, from over 200 colleges all over the country, who participate in 30 odd events including dance, drama, music, fashion and literary events, all of which have exciting cash prizes waiting to be won.

The first edition of the Unmaad festival was held in 1996; having featured some of the biggest names in the music industry like Jagjit Singh, KK, Indian Ocean, Parikrama, and Farhan Akhtar. The bond between Unmaad and Coke Studio just grew stronger, and hence, Unmaad has decided to have a go at this power packed combination once again. This year, Coke Studio artists like Ram Sampath and Sona Mohapatra will perform at IIMB along with other Coke Studio artists at the launch of Unmaad ’15.
