May 20, 02:14pm

Sakifo Music Festival hosted at Reunion Island have worked along with IndiEarth and EarthSync to send in an exciting line up of Indian musicians to play at the festival this weekend from May 23 to 25.

This weekend - from May 23 to 25 - Reunion Island is going to witness the eleventh edition of the Sakifo festival, along with the efforts of Chennai based artist platform IndiEarth and world music record label EarthSync having gathered a glamorous line-up of Indian musicians set to play at the festival along with over 40 artists from around the world. Business Class Refugees, Shaa’ir+Func, Nucleya, and Audio Pervert have been selected to play at Sakifo this year crowning the artists’ performances at the IndiEarth XChange in December 2013 – India’s only global trade event for independent music, film and media. Shaa’ir+Func’s Monica Dogra says, “Performing at Sakifo is a once in a lifetime opportunity. We would particularly like to thank IndiEarth for providing this platform that is giving us the opportunity to perform at such an exotic place and for all their efforts in helping bridge music from around the world.”

IndiEarth and EarthSync have been working closely with the Sakifo Music Festival in Reunion Island for the past three years in a bid to encourage cross-cultural music collaborations between India and Reunion Island, and expose Indian artists to new markets, facilitating international performance opportunities for Indian talent.
