Domination: The Deathfest To Kick Off On June 8 Featuring 12 Bands From 5 Cities

Jun 07, 01:43pm

Domination: The Deathfest is ready to kick off in Mumbai on June 8 and Hyderabad on June 21, featuring lineups including of twelve of some of the best metal bands in the Indian metal cricuit.

The sixth edition of Domination: The Deathfest is back after a five year hiatus set to be held on June 8 in Mumbai and then on June 21 in Hyderabad assorting together a gruesome collective of metalhead marauders ready to administer chaos. The Mumbai leg of the deathfest will be hosted at Hotel United 21 in Thane, featuring the first platoon of warmongers including Shillong's death metal powerhouse Plague Throat, Bangalore sludge giants Shepherd, and an all star collective of eighteen musicians called Bombay Death Metal Legion, among others.

On June 21 shall dawn the second day of the deathfest to be held at Extreme Sports Bar in Karkhana, Hyderabad featuring performances by Bangalore tech/death band Nihilus, Mumbai stone age metal band Primtiv (the only band playing both days), Bangalore thrash/grind outfit Pisakas, and more. With twelve bands from five cities - playing across two - for twelve hours of mass murdering mayhem, this pilgrimage of extreme metal fans promises an evening like no other. The festival first began in 2000, and has since featured performances by some of the greatest names in the Indian metal music scene. Demonic Resurrection, Exhumation, Kryptos, Threinody, are a few names among the many that have laid waste to stages across this deathfest. This line up seems to be from beyond the netherworld assuring a barbarically brutal evening of music any metalhead would kill to be at. The fest begins at five in the evening and tickets are going to be available at the gates, priced at Rs. 500, a bargain one could say.
